Find child care you can trust.

Answer a few questions and create a plan that can grow as your child grows.

Homework/Study Time

Many elementary and middle schoolers have homework. For this reason, some programs provide dedicated time and space for homework.

These programs may provide:

  • Time: Many children have 10 minutes of homework per grade. For example, third graders might have thirty minutes of homework per night. Children can finish their homework before they go home.
  • Space: A dedicated, well-lit space without a lot of distractions. Students are also provided with a quiet place to sit and read when they are finished with their homework.
  • Materials: Homework centers may provide pencils, computers, and other materials students may need.
  • Help: Some programs might provide students with homework help or coaching.

Some programs may also provide extra help with specific subjects. These might include:

  • Reading & Writing: Book clubs, story time, a reading library, or help with writing
  • Math: Math games, projects, and/or tutoring
  • Science: Science projects that expand on lessons learned in school
  • Art: Time, materials, and help for solo or group art projects
  • Technology: Time for working with technology and building computer skills
